COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A man ambushed outside an apartment complex nearly seven years ago...and still no justice for the family.

In tonight’s “Beyond the Yellow Tape with Roslyn Giles,” Columbus police are searching for answers in a cold case murder leaving 32-year-old Joshua O’Neal dead.

O’Neal was shot and killed at Bull Creek Apartments on Woodruff Farm Road, August 2, 2018 around 11 o’clock that summer night.

The shooting happened soon after the couple arrived at her apartment. O’Neal told his girlfriend to take the kids inside the apartment while he got the diaper bag from the trunk of the car, according to Hayes.

Shortly after she walked inside the apartment, police say she heard what she called “rapid gunfire.”
