LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Since the start of the new year, Arkansans have spent more than $121 million on medical marijuana.
The Natural State has a total of 37 dispensaries, with 32,474 total pounds of cannabis sold so far in 2025.
Monthly spending on medical marijuana was as follows: January saw $23,578,313 in sales, February $21,933,597, March $25,046,004, April $24,929,960, and May $25,536,822.
"Tax revenue from medical marijuana is averaging $2.68 million a month in 2025, also an increase over last year," said Scott Hardin, spokesperson for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.
"With daily medical marijuana sales averaging $806,000, we are on track to surpass the 2023 sales record of $283 million."
