Concrete work for the second elevator being constructed at the Castro Muni Station is nearly complete, city officials told business owners Thursday. Members of the Castro Merchants Association also heard about upcoming Pride Month events and street conditions in the LGBTQ neighborhood.

The displacement of a coffee shop and nail salon adjacent to the Castro Theatre was also discussed.

MUNI ELEVATOR Lolita Sweet of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency told the merchants she wanted to thank them for their support. Muni is currently adding a second elevator for the subway station. Metal support beams for the lift are visible above the protective fencing surrounding the site.
