TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — St. Luke’s Magic Valley celebrated the new addition of a mobile health clinic to their services on Tuesday.
The hospital gathered alongside community members to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new breast health mobile clinic at the Twin Falls Visitor Center. The mobile clinic enables the hospital to bring mammogram services directly to women, increasing access to health care.
Stephanie Schroeder, the mobile mammography coordinator at St. Luke’s, said that the mobile health clinic is essential due to Idaho’s low rate for screenings.
“We are actually one of the lowest states in the United States for screenings,” Schroeder said. “This makes it possible for women of all ages to get it done and have it come to them instead of them having to come to the cl
