WATFORD CITY, N.D. (KUMV) - Watford City’s population grew over the past decade as people came for work. Since then, the community has strived to improve the quality of life and give people a reason to call it home.
One such way is through the arts.
Watford City is made up of many different types of people. These guys love to be on the stage.
“It’s always been an important part of my life. It’s something I’ve enjoyed since I was very little,” said John Yale.
“I’ve always loved it, even since I was a little kid, I wanted to act,” said Natalie Gessele.
They’re part of the McKenzie County Community Theater, an organization started two years ago to provide opportunities for the performing arts. This week, they’re putting on their first full-length production: The Miss Firecracker Contest
