WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The director of Huntington Tri-State Airport, Brent Brown, said he was told an engine failed on the Allegiant flight Monday, forcing it to turn around and land where it had taken off from Tri-State Airport.

Allegiant flight makes emergency landing

WSAZ has learned that plane’s flight paths from earlier Monday from the website FlightAware.com .

It started its day in Clearwater, Florida, and was scheduled to arrive at Tri-State just before 9 a.m.

From there, it flew to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and then back to Tri-State Airport in the afternoon.

The next flight was scheduled to go back to Clearwater until the problem diverted it.
