After a standout high school career in both football and baseball, Galena senior Colson Kermode had to make a choice.
He chose football, and will play for his hometown team, the Nevada Wolf Pack.
Kermode was one of 19 Galena seniors to sign for college, 18 of whom were honored at a ceremony at the school on Wednesday, June 4.
Kermode (6-foot-2, 215 pounds) will play linebacker for Nevada. He played quarterback and linebacker for the Grizzlies, and shortstop for the baseball team.
At quarterback, he passed for 1,639 yards and 20 touchdowns and also rushed for 451 yards and nine scores as a senior in 2024. On defense, he was in on 188 tackles.
He'll room with former Galena standout Tyler Miller, who plays on the offensive line for the Wolf Pack, when he moves on campus later in June.
