SHELDON, Iowa (KTIV) - A late-night motorcycle crash on Wednesday, June 4, on a Northwest Iowa highway resulted in one fatality.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 10:57 p.m. on Highway 60, one mile south of Sheldon. According to the sheriff’s office, 27-year-old Jeremy Korth was riding a motorcycle south on the highway when he left the road and entered a ditch. The motorcycle rolled, and Korth was flung off the vehicle.

Korth was taken to the Sheldon Hospital and later lifeflighted to a Sioux Falls hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The sheriff’s office has not released any information on what caused Korth’s motorcycle to leave the roadway.
