LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - More warmth is back Friday and changes look to hold off until after the weekend.

Another day of partly cloudy skies, low rain chances and humid weather is ahead. This means highs will return to around 90 degrees or the low 90’s for inland communities on Friday. This is where we should be this time of year, but that also means we’ll see the heat index values close in on the lower 100s. If you have plans to be outdoors, the forecast looks to be good to enjoy, just make sure to find a way to stay cool.

Rain and storms remain isolated-to-spotty through Sunday as we’ll see a gradual increase in cloud coverage through the weekend as our pattern slowly begins to change. For now, stay hydrated when spending time outdoors.
