COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — After 18 years in business, Brushes and Beverages in Downtown Columbus is closing it's doors. The art studio announced the decision in an emotional post on their social media.

Co-owner, Bain Smith, says the business was a dream of her mom's. It served as a space for the community to come together and paint. Smith says their decision to close was not taken lightly and that it was just time.

"We've had multiple people reach out and tell us how much this place meant to them," Smith said. "It's been special to us and the community. We're really going to miss everyone."

Brushes and Beverages will continue to offer painting sessions until June 14th. Smith says after that, she still would love to conduct one-on-one and private sessions for those who would want it.
