COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Residents that live near the intersection of Lee Road 230, Bush Road and Lee Road 240 say ongoing construction has become a nuisance.

Drivers say they are constantly having trouble merging onto Lee Road 240 because the amount of traffic it produces and it blocks the view of oncoming traffic.

But, work is still being done to find out what can be done.

"It does warrant us now hiring a traffic consultant to help us study the movements," said District 3 commissioner Jeff Drury. "They'll develop models which they will present to us to say 'Hey, this is what we need to make this as safe as possible for the citizens of Lee County and also keep the traffic flowing at the same time'."
