DOUGLAS, ND (KXNET) — An 80-year-old Douglas man has died in a Ward County crash after he allegedly turned in front of a cement truck, causing the truck to tip over.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), on Thursday at about 8:39 a.m., the man was driving a John Deere side by side west on 359th Ave SW, when a Kenworth cement truck also traveling west attempted to pass the side by side. The side by side reportedly turned left in front of the cement truck and was hit by the Kenworth.

The John Deere came to rest in the north ditch, and the cement truck tipped onto the driver side and slid on the road, blocking both of lanes of traffic.
