BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - From bouncy houses to a petting zoo, the Summer Reading Kickoff event had a wide variety of activities for kids and their families to enjoy.

Warren County Public Library has a mission of making reading fun by pairing events and prizes for kids who meet reading goals.

The main coordinator of Summer Reading Kickoff, Alexis Erskine, believes pairing fun with learning keeps kids motivated to continue their curriculum over the summer.

“We are so enthusiastic about the educational well-being of kids in our community, and we really strive to throw top-notch quality life events. Summer Reading Kickoff is where we get to do both of those at the same time,” she said.
