FARGO — In one week, residents will be able to exchange their old U.S. flags for a brand new one free of charge.

Scheels Home and Hardware is teaming up with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association for a flag exchange starting Thursday, June 12.

People will be able to take their old and worn out flags and exchange them for free.

Motorcycle enthusiasts are also encouraged to join the CVMA as they travel to Scheels locations across the state as they continue the flag exchange.

The exchange begins Thursday at the Scheels Home and Hardware in Fargo, where the group will then ride to Scheels locations in Moorhead and Grand Forks.
