BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Coroner's Office has identified the woman who died at the hospital after being rescued from a Boise canal earlier this week .

Alyssa Bistline, 30, was pronounced dead at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise after life-saving measures were unsuccessful.

"Bistline was found submerged in the Ridenbaugh Canal near the 2900 block of W. Rose Hill St. Further information pending investigation," officials wrote in a news release.

The Boise Fire Department reported on Tuesday that emergency responders were called to a canal near West Rose Hill and Ruby Street around 7:51 p.m. Crews immediately began searching the water and canal banks.
