A 14-year-old male from Colorado Springs was arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of murder and attempted homicide in connection with a shooting in Aurora on Sunday.
The teen, whose name was withheld due to his status as a minor, was arrested on suspicion of one count of first-degree homicide, 10 counts of attempted homicide and two counts of possession of a handgun by a juvenile, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The shooting occurred at a "pop-up" party that was posted on social media. A group of mostly juvenile females posted about the gathering, originally in Denver, but relocated to Aurora, which attracted the suspect and potential gang members, stated Division Chief Mark Hildebrandt at a press conference Thursday.
