PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A woman accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend pleaded guilty earlier Thursday.

The guilty plea from TNashia S. Wash, 20, canceled her jury trial next week. She is set to be sentenced at 2 p.m. July 31.

Wash was accused of shooting and killing her then-boyfriend, Roderick Richardson in October of 2023.

She told police at the time that she and Richardson had been arguing about their relationship, reportedly telling them he threatened to shoot her and them himself.

Richardson was discovered inside a home in the 1200 block of North Ellis lying face down in a pool of blood, the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office said.
