SPRING ARBOR – The Western baseball team saw its season come to an end Thursday in a 14-1 loss to Mason at Spring Arbor University’s Hank Burbidge Field in the Division 2 regional semifinal.

The Bulldogs scored in every inning but the fourth and got strong pitching from Ryan Myers and Colton McCaleb to advance to Saturday’s regional final at the University of Michigan’s Ray Fisher Stadium.

Myers threw four innings, striking out five and allowing one run on two hits. McCaleb came on in relief, working three innings and striking out six.
