ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KALB) - Patrick Seth Greene, the Opelousas man arrested following the stabbing of a 6-year-old child, has now been charged with eight counts of attempted first-degree murder in addition to his original charges, according to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, June 5, a judge ruled Greene will remain in jail without bond until his next hearing on July 3, according to our sister station, KPLC.

SLPSO said they received the call on June 1 about the child, who had injuries to the face, neck and chest areas. The child was taken to a hospital in Opelousas, then airlifted to a hospital in Baton Rouge with life-threatening injuries.
