TROUTDALE, Ore. (KOIN) -- A federal judge ruled on Thursday that the Trump administration must restore hundreds of millions of dollars in AmeriCorps funding in about two dozen states, including Oregon. Though it remains to be seen if the U.S. Department of Justice will appeal the decision, the outcome could have a major impact on Troutdale's Cascade Arts Festival.
This comes after the U.S. Labor Department put Job Corps programs across the country on pause. Interns paid with federal dollars will now not be showing up for the non-profit arts festival, despite being needed for more than just heavy lifting.
