PROVO, Utah (ABC4 Sports) - Coming off its best season in 14 years, BYU basketball head coach Kevin Young has signed a long-term contract extension that will keep him with the Cougars for "the foreseeable future," according to new athletic director Brian Santiago in a BYU press release.
Young and the Cougars are coming off a 26-10 overall, 14-6 in Big 12 play, as BYU reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2011. Young has been masterful in recruiting, landing the #1 high school player in the country in AJ Dybantsa, along with highly sought after Baylor point guard Rob Wright.
