REDDING, Calif. - Sherri Papini is facing eviction from her Shingletown home. In January, Papini received a notice to vacate the property she had been renting from her ex-boyfriend, Shawn Hibdon. She has lived there since January 2023.

The official eviction was filed on April 15. In her response, Papini claimed there was an understanding with Hibdon that she could purchase the home. After their breakup, she said Hibdon refused to formalize the agreement.

In her response to the filing, Papini also accused Hibdon of harassment, including threats to disconnect utilities and public humiliation unless she bought the home under "specific unfavorable terms." The next court date for the eviction is on Friday.
