Calling all anglers, the Michigan Department of Resources is promoting the sport of fishing this weekend.

Twice a year, the DNR offers ‘Free Fishing Weekend, where people can enjoy the sport of fishing for free.

This June 7th and 8th all fishing license fees will be waived for residents and out of state visitors.

Allowing visitors to enjoy fishing at any inland body of water or the Great Lakes

Ed Shaw at the Carl T Johnson Hunting & Fishing Center in Cadillac said there are other incentives to get out into the great outdoors this weekend.
