FILER, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —If you’re driving through Filer, you’ll want to pay attention to the new speed limit signs that have been put up.
Prior to this when you’d enter town, the speed would drop to 35 miles per hour then to 25 when school was in session.
Now it’s permanently 25 miles per hour all the way through.
Filer Mayor Bob Templeman said the decision to change the speed limit comes from the numerous complaints about road safety regarding Highway 30l, but there are other benefits.
