SPRINGFIELD, MO - Construction has kicked into high gear on the city’s rapidly growing southwest corner.

The most visible project underway in the vicinity of West Sunshine at West Bypass is the new Target store. But there are also several restaurant projects taking shape nearby.

The new Target will anchor the new Sunshine Towne Center development. Within that center, a new Olive Garden is nearly complete and will open later this month. Next to that eatery, Wendy’s has filed plans with the city for a new store.

BluCurrent is also building a new credit union nearby. Earlier this year, the financial institution said it hoped to be open by this fall or winter.
