LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — In Arkansas, the gas price average is $2.76 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, according to the AAA Arkansas Weekend Gas Watch.

Compared to this day last week, that price is four cents less per gallon. Today's statewide average is 25 cents lower compared to this day last year.

Out of the metropolitan areas measured in the state, those who commute in Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers are paying the most at an average of $2.79 per gallon.

Drivers in Jonesboro are paying the least at $2.68 per gallon.

The average national price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.15. That is two cents less in comparison to this day last week.

If you compare that average amount to last month, it is 36 cents less.
