WARD COUNTY, N.D. (KMOT) – One person was killed in a crash between a cement truck and a side-by-side Thursday morning near Douglas.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said an 80-year-old man from Douglas was driving the side-by-side west on 359th Avenue SW shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Investigators said a 68-year-old Minot man driving a cement truck westbound tried to pass, at which point the side-by-side driver turned left in front of the truck.

The driver of the side-by-side died from his injuries. The truck driver was treated at the hospital.
