CALICO ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — A manhunt continues tonight in the steep backwoods of Calico Rock. Authorities are combing through rugged terrain in search of Grant Hardin — a man they say is dangerous and desperate.

Authorities in Calico Rock believe Grant Hardin may have taken shelter underground — inside one of the many caves scattered across this region. These aren’t just small openings — some of them tunnel deep beneath the hills, twisting for hundreds of yards.

“We’re doing our due diligence and covering every square inch that we can and hopefully finding him,” says Rand Champion with the Arkansas Department of Corrections
