SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A Sioux City City councilmember is speaking out about President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act and the proposed Medicaid cuts in the measure.

Alex Watters spoke in a "Protect Our Care Iowa” press conference on Zoom earlier this morning. According to a recent report by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, about 8 million people would lose Medicaid coverage because of added eligibility checks and strict work requirements in the next decade.
