New owners reopened The Royal Falconer in downtown Redlands on Wednesday, June 4 with new decor and a new menu.
The 25-year-old English pub was acquired by the Salamon family, which owns the nearby Tartan of Redlands. It closed due to the transfer of its liquor license in late April, followed by a refresh of the dining room.
Managing partner Jeff Salamon said he wanted The Royal Falconer to be “an old-school restaurant where you can bring any family member and make a memory.”
He added that it has more subdued lighting, a dark green color scheme and new furniture. Tables and benches that lined the wall along the bar have been replaced by booths.
He called the new menu elevated, but affordable. It focuses on seafood and beef rather than pub food, although it still includes fish and chips
