Part of Route 8 is closed after a serious crash

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WFSB) - Part of Route 8 is closed after a serious crash.

The crash occurred on Route 8 in Naugatuck in the area of exit 18 at around 6:56 p.m.

State police say it was a one car crash.

Serious injuries have been reported.

State police are asking drivers to seek an alternative route.
