GRAY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Gray Library will be closing its doors next week, but the community can look forward to an all-new learning center that has been two years in the making.

The new 13,000 sq. ft. facility is located on Sid Martin Road and is more than double the size of its current location. The new space will include study rooms, a maker space, a children's area, and a teen space.

"There's a large amount of people moving to Washington County, but a huge portion of that is settling here in Gray," Library Board Chair Jerome Bowers said. "So you can see outside the building the amount of houses and townhomes that are going up. So we want to make sure that the patrons in this area are taken care of, and the community's taken care of here as well."
