BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The 89th Texas Legislature ended this week with lawmakers making a furious push to get their bills passed and to the governor. Brazos Valley Representative Paul Dyson said his first session was a learning experience.
“There is a lot of learning, as you can imagine, being a freshman just from day one kind of going through and building those relationships over those first few months,” Rep. Dyson said. “Then getting in there and figuring out, really, just how you work bills through the entire process and understanding how that works and understanding what happens when you have competing bills with other legislators that either are similar or exactly the same with yours, and trying to push those through.”
