ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Rogers man has been sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of raping a girl more than two decades ago.

Timothy Rhodifer, 68, was convicted on June 4 on two counts of rape, according to court documents.

Case background

Rhodifer was accused of sexually abusing a girl under 14 years old between 1998 and 2001. The victim, a friend of his daughter, reported in 2023 that Rhodifer raped her during sleepovers at his home, according to a probable cause affidavit.

He was arrested in Jan. 2024 after Missouri deputies in Jasper County responded to a call about a suicidal person, identified as Rhodifer, in December 2023. According to court documents, Rhodifer admitted to molesting a girl in the 1990s.
