AUSTIN (KXAN) — Wall cranked 17 hits to run away with the UIL Class 3A-Division II baseball championship 14-2 over Thrall on Thursday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.

The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Wall scored seven runs in the fourth inning to extend its 5-1 lead to 12-1. Hagyn Barbee, Gunnar Dillard and Jacob Braden had three hits each for the Hawks. Dillard was named the player of the game, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Thrall starting pitcher Maverick McAllister allowed eight runs on 11 hits in three innings. Wall starting pitcher Gage Reichenau allowed two runs on three hits with five strikeouts and three walks in five innings. • Championship game box score provided by the UIL
