AUSTIN (KXAN) — Wall cranked 17 hits to run away with the UIL Class 3A-Division II baseball championship 14-2 over Thrall on Thursday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run rule.
Wall scored seven runs in the fourth inning to extend its 5-1 lead to 12-1. Hagyn Barbee, Gunnar Dillard and Jacob Braden had three hits each for the Hawks. Dillard was named the player of the game, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.
