BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Our hottest weather so far in 2025 is on the way for this weekend.

FRIDAY FORECAST

A very muggy wake up will give way to another hot and humid afternoon. Rain chances will only run 20% or so, with highs in the low to mid 90s, and heat index values peaking near 100 degrees.

HEAT CONCERNS

The heat will only get a bit worse into the weekend, with highs in the mid-90s becoming more common, and heat index values flirting with 105 degrees at times.

LSU SUPER REGIONAL

Heat is the primary concern for Saturday, with game temperatures in the low to mid 90s, and heat index values likely above 100 degrees for the duration of the game. Heat will still be an issue on Sunday, but rain chances also climb a little higher for game 2.
