RICHLAND, Wash. – An arrest has been made in connection with an altercation at Richland’s Claybell Park involving a large fight and gunfire.

The Richland Police Department (RPD) said over 20 people were fighting April 10, 2025, with multiple shots fired.

No one was hit by gunfire. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on June 4 in Kennewick on five counts of second-degree assault for his role in the disturbance, RPD said.

Richland Police's Street Crimes Unit, with help from the Criminal Investigations Division, conducted numerous interviews, primarily with teens from outside the Richland area, to identify the suspect.
