CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- Parkland College is hosting a pair of basketball games this weekend, and one of WCIA's own will be taking part.

WCIA's Brandon Merano will be joining Champaign public officials and even a former Illini in a celebrity basketball game at Parkland on Sunday. The game will be played at the Dodds Athletic Complex at 5 p.m. and will benefit the Illinois Basketball Club Foundation Scholarship Fund.

The event is $10 for adults and $5 for students. The celebrity game will be followed by the C-U Area Senior Showcase, highlighting some of the best area high school athletes.
