KPLCLAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - What happened to Tameika Watley?
It has been a year since Watley went missing last June. Over the past year, her family has never stopped searching for answers.
“Somebody knows something, somebody saw something. Somebody knows something. They’re just not speaking to the authorities,” says her family.
June 5, 2024, was the last time anyone in Tameika’s family heard from her. Her mother, Anita Watley, says she remembers that day like it was yesterday.
“I know I am the last one who spoke with her. It hit me kind of hard today, but I’m alright, I just thank God because if it weren’t for God, I don’t know what I would do. I try to stay prayed up,” says Anita Watley.
After 12 months of searching, there is still no sign of her.
