SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) - Siouxland Sports Academy has continued its rise the past few years, from merging with United Sports Academy in 2024, to its newest venture featuring plans to construct a multi-sports complex in Sioux City.
Siouxland Developers, LLC. plans to construct the new complex on 2.3 acres of city-owned land west of Lewis and Clark Park, which they plan to purchase for $50,000.
The developers intent to invest $5 million into the 65,000 square foot multi-sports facility, which includes courts for basketball and volleyball, a batting cage, weight rooms, and a dance academy among other entities, according to city documents.
Building is expected to begin in August of 2025 and be completed by the end of 2026.
