WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The director of Huntington Tri-State Airport, Brent Brown, said he was told an engine failed on the Allegiant flight Monday, forcing it to turn around and land where it had taken off from Tri-State Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also confirmed an engine issue as the reason for Monday’s emergency landing.

WSAZ has learned that plane’s flight paths from earlier Monday from the website FlightAware.com .
It started its day in Clearwater, Florida, and was scheduled to arrive at Tri-State just before 9 a.m.
From there, it flew to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and then back to Tri-State Airport in the afternoon.
The next flight was scheduled to go back to Clearwater until the problem diverted it.
