The creation of up to 5,000 new homes and "three new communities" in Leicestershire is one step closer to reality. New schools and reworked motorways junctions also form part of the wider major development.
The homes would feature on land west of Stoney Stanton, with a consortium comprising Barwood Land, Parker Strategic Land and Leicestershire County Council looking at the initial stages of its plans. The consortium has submitted an environmental impact assessment (EIA) scoping request to Blaby District Council (BDC) - a request that evaluates the potential environmental impacts of such a scheme.
