BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Hunger and health are deeply connected, which is why the Brazos Valley Food Bank does more than fill pantries. It helps families access the resources they need to stay healthy and fed.

The Brazos Valley Food Bank (BVFB) takes a holistic approach to hunger, connecting people in need through its Screen and Intervene Program .

“The first step of that is to screen if people have food insecurity,” Health For All Executive Director Liz Dickey began. “The second step of that is to intervene; to do something about it.”

Once identified, patients can shop for medically tailored food right in the Health For All Food ‘Farmacy,’ options provided by the food bank.
