SIOUX FALLS — A season of great expectations ended in a perfect way for Aberdeen Central's girls golf team on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
The Golden Eagles completed a dominant two-day run through the state Class AA tournament , winning the program's first-ever state championship by 18 shots over Mitchell 625-643.
In the previous eight state tourneys since 2016 (there was no tourney in 2020 due to COVID-19), Aberdeen Central had four runner-up and three third-place finishes.
