MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Budget negotiations between New Hampshire senators and state representatives are set to begin next week.
On Thursday, the New Hampshire Senate approved its version of the state budget following more than four hours of debate.

The $15.5 billion, two-year spending plan reverses many of the cuts made by the House.
It also restores Medicaid rate increases and mental health funding.
