A Kane County man was caught in an internet sting operation with thousands of images of children being sexually abused, along with a child sex doll and soiled children's underwear, police say.

Tyi Kay McKinlay, 43, a registered sex offender and convicted felon who resides in Kanab, was arrested and booked into the Kane County Jail on May 28. He faces 50 second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one misdemeanor count of possession of a child sex doll, according to the probable cause statement filed in support of the arrest.

The arrest stems from an Internet Crimes Against Children sting operation that launched May 1, after a report alleging child sexual abuse material was being distributed over the internet.
