Scottish Labour has come out on top in a close contest in the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election.
Davy Russell has been confirmed as the new MSP for the constituency, with the party gaining from the SNP .
He won with 8,559 votes, 602 more than SNP's Katy Loudon, who received 7,957
Reform UK's Ross Lambie came third with 7,088 votes, while the Tories finished fourth with 1,621.
Labour won 31.57%, the SNP were on 29.35%, Reform on 26.15% and the Tories were on 5.98%.
The by-election was called following the sad death of Christina McKelvie in March. She previously won the seat for the SNP at the 2021 Holyrood election.
SNP's John Swinney poured huge resources into the constituency to ensure the seat was held, with senior figures frequently out knocking on doors.
