EL CENTRO— Southwest High School in El Centro held its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025 on June 4. Central Union High School District reported 421 students received their diploma.
The program began with a performance by the Southwest Chamber Orchestra, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Senior Class President Gael De La Cruz. More performances followed from Southwest Savapa Music, the Chamber Orchestra and Band, and the Concert Band and Orchestra.
Principal Joe Derma ushered in the Presentation of the Class, while Superintendent Dr. Davis Farkas led the Acceptance of the Class.
The senior song selections were "Good Ole Days" by Kesha, "Story of My Life" by One Direction, and "I Lived" by One Republic.
