Border Patrol agent finds new confidence after life-altering injury
Karla Castellanos is not only learning how to live again — she’s discovering how to thrive. She is currently participating in the Adaptive Training Foundation’s (ATF) ReDefine Program, a nine-week physical and mental training initiative for individuals who have experienced traumatic injuries.
Held from May 13 through July 18 at ATF’s facility in Carrollton, Texas, the ReDefine Program offers fully customized, no-cost training for military and first responder athletes.
Made possible through sponsors like Global Medical Response (GMR), the program is designed to help participants regain strength, purpose, and independence.
For Castellanos, who grew up in Calexico, the journey to this point has been anything but easy.
