DISCUSSION:

On Friday, Eastern Kentucky is at risk for strong to severe storms. The entire WYMT viewing area will have chances for severe weather, with the highest likelihood occurring in our western counties.

Strong wind gusts will be the main impact of the storms. Additionally, large hail may occur, and heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding.

Storm chances are expected to start Friday afternoon and continue into the late evening. Isolated and scattered storm chances will persist into the early hours of Saturday, with another round of showers and storms pick
